A new man entered Lynette's life on last night's Desperate Housewives. It's Jason Gedrick, 42, who has been around the TV block a number of times and now plays former drug addict Rick Colletti.

An actor with bad timing when it comes to TV series is John Cho. He's best known for the movie Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle. Now he's been signed for Up All Night, which looks at the comedy possibilities in an all-night diner. In 2004, Cho starred in NBC's The Men's Room, which ran for six episodes. Then came FOX's Kitchen Confidential in 2005, also short-lived. His next, The Singles Table, was picked up by NBC but never shown. Perhaps he'll have better luck with a Harold & Kumar sequel.

Look for major changes in cable TV fare after The Sopranos rides into reruns on June 11. In past summers, cable sizzled with Sex and the City and Six Feet Under. HBO will have new episodes of Big Love; dramas Tell Me You Love Me and In Treatment, and vampire tale True Blood (TMN should run most). But megahits? I'm not sure.

Conservative talker Tucker Carlson – yeah, the one with the bow tie – is all ready to become a game show host. On Do You Trust Me?, strangers are forced to put their trust in one another or they'll be eliminated. The pilot is to be shot within the month in Los Angeles.

Even presidential candidates are being asked to weigh in on the Sanjaya Scandal. On a recent radio call-in show, Hillary Clinton was asked what the U.S. can do about American Idol contestant Sanjaya Malakar. "Well, you know, people can vote for whomever they want. That's true in my election and it's true on American Idol," she said.
